The big story today, besides yours truly's birthday, was the plane which crashed or landed into New York's Hudson River after the plane ran into a flock of birds, or vice versa:

Brace for impact: Hudson river landing video
Here is the best video I could find relating to the Hudson river crash of U.S. Airways Flight 1549. This emergency landing was a "miracle."
At about the two minute mark you can see US Air Flight 1549 skid into the Hudson. Then, you can see the passengers climb out onto the wings. This video is 10 minutes long. Actual video of Flight 1549 skidding into the Hudson.
