The Local Education Wars

The school district which gave me the boot now has staff who are stressed out because they could be next, especially if they are "too old" (i.e., over 40) and have significant work experience.

The current superintendent is a mental midget, which is par for the course for district administrators, but just you wait until the board of trustees hires a replacement. Many staff are going to be shitting bricks:

Retirements among teachers are at an all-time low this year, Dugan said. That, coupled with declining enrollments, has virtually wiped out any job opportunities for new teachers.

"For this year and perhaps next year, it will be a difficult time for new applicants to find positions," Dugan said.

It'll be open season targeting teachers like me who refused to suck ass.

You couldn't pay me enough money to work for those assholes again; the corruption is unreal. I am not sure I would cross the street to work at any public school knowing what I know now.
