Man O' War was not in this race. He won the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes.

1928: Reigh Count, sire of 1943 Triple Crown winner Count Fleet, who in turn sired 1951 winner Count Turf. Race is complete, and was run at a shorter distance:
1929: Clyde Van Dusen, the first gelding to win the race and son of Man O' War:
