Missing Politicians Department

It appears Governor Mark Sanford, or at least his staff, has been caught in a lie.

He was in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for seven days.

Anything could have happened to him, and nobody would have known what to do or say.

This comment says it all, I believe:

Many of the GOP Diehards said that Sanford deserves a break and questioned the comments from other constituents. Well, what do you have to say now? He skipped out on the state and his family. He took state vehicles without permission. He violated ethics. And, now we know he LIED about his whereabouts. He was in South America! What he doing there? It's known that some go to SA to have sexual rendezvous. They go to brothels, do whatever and leave. So, when they return to the states, there's little worry of a trail. What was he doing there? Did he take his mistress on vacation? Did he meet her there? I hope he wasn't selling secrets. NAW. Could he have taken a flight from SA to somewhere else? There are many questions to be answered. But one thing is for sure--Mark Sanford is no good.
