When I say "stupid," of course I mean the president and Congress, who have done little to put into action job creation programs. The stimulus hasn't done this to any meaningful degree. Meanwhile, they had better be extending UI for those of us who are about to run out.
As for unemployment, the official figures don't take into account underemployment, for example.
The government is going to HAVE to focus on job creation and take action against the continuing "outsourcing" of jobs. The jobs HAVE to come back or this country is destroyed from within.
Then it's going to get REALLY bad.
But because I fear Obama really doesn't have what it takes to be president in the first place and is in the pocket of the same elite which backed our dictator, he won't get re-elected and we will be stuck with another right-wing asshole who doesn't care whether the United States becomes a third world country.
