If Obama

can't get his shit together in the next couple of years, not only will he not be re-elected, but there ought to be a primary challenge.

The problem is both parties are bereft of quality candidates. I do, however, think Mitt Romney will be the GOP nominee, with an outside chance of Huckabee or Cantor getting the nod.

Mitt has always scared the hell out of me, even as he appears to be pleasant in person.

Although the Joseph Cannon (linked above) thinks Gore should get the Democratic nomination in 2012, Gore will never run again. The 2000 election really shattered his faith in the political and legal system. He was like me in my "due process" hearings; I, like Gore, thought the other side would play fair. But they don't, never have, never will. And they made sure they had a stacked deck in the process or simply break the law in order to "win."

The problem with ditching Obama in 2012 is such attempts would be seen as "racist." He has played the "racism" card this far, and I don't see it changing.

What is tragic for this country is it can't afford another Republican in the White House. It will slide into becoming a third world country if that happens, and it is well on the way of being there now.
