Some writer who has a little bit of a clue about education believes colleges need to treat would-be educators with respect, and so forth, so they can have their souls and their careers slaughtered when they go into the shithole called public education.
I suggest this naive author actually go out and talk to real teachers who have to put up with the shit school district administrators pull, and then, once the corruption and workplace abuse is made public, nobody in his or her right mind would go into the field.
As long as teachers are a dime a dozen, things won't change in education. They will only get worse.
