The Education Wars

A bunch of show-off principals and others were at a "Data Summit" organized by WCSD superintendent and Eli Broad flunky Heath Morrison.

Scratch all of the cotton candy about "parental involvement" and "diversity" and you will find this meeting was nothing more than finding "legal" ways to get around federal mandates for school "performance."

Of course shitcanning teachers will be next on the agenda.

After a long day, WCSD’s top administrators, trustees and interested community members came to the conclusion that more needs to be done to help students succeed from their first day in preschool to the day they graduate high school.

A series of group discussions about test scores, attendance, curriculum and family and community involvement were meant to help school principals like Brown figure out how to help their teachers assess the data.

Students are nothing more than "data," not people. It makes me sick.
