A lot of commentators, who don't understand the REASON prosecutors are immune from civil damages during the course of their duties, are bitching and moaning about a case put before the USSC regarding prosecutorial misconduct.
Hopefully the high court throws this nonsense out. The plaintiffs can go the U.S. Attorney or to the state bar and go after the lawyers' licenses, but what cannot be allowed is the idea any old criminal, or in fact, anybody who has a beef with ANY public employee, as sovereign immunity applies to all public employees during the scope of their duties, can file a stupid lawsuit in civil court.
The courts are backed up enough without garbage lawsuits filed against public employees.
