I used to work with the teacher interviewed for this article. He, like many teachers all over the country, is concerned Arne Duncan's blackmail attempt to destroy public education will force teachers out of the classroom.
That's the point of the bribery scheme, among other "reforms" Obama and Duncan are proposing. Teachers are already being illegally shitcanned at WCSD and other school districts around the country to save money; this is just another way to get rid of still more teachers and perhaps replace them with temporaries like TFA teachers.
