You know what they say about birds of a feather.

Apparently Gibbons is still in the race for the governorship although he keeps doing things to sabotage his already nonexistent chances:

“I don't think it's anything that any of us didn't expect. We’ll see where the chips come out and end up," said Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons.

Gibbons was quick to come to Ensign's defense.

“John's a wonderful friend and I believe in his heart he was doing what he thought was right. And it’s unfortunate that it crossed maybe a line or two,” Gibbons said.

Only a line or two, just like Jimbo allegedly said to former cocktail server Chrissy Mazzeo in a Las Vegas parking garage: "I'm not going to fuck you. I'm going to rape you."
