bunch of crap imaginable and with all kinds of cliches about teachers having lifetime job security because of "tenure" and they can't be fired and all of that other bullshit, which, if the rag had interviewed ME, I would have told them what a joke the hearing process is.
Diane Ravitch also finds the magazine shameful, but magazines like Newsweek have no shame at all.
Shamus Cooke over at Counterpunch notes the coordinated onslaught against teachers and teachers' unions, although the unions really need to be true unions and represent teachers. They all too often collude with school districts, as I learned from bitter experience.
