their so-called "extended" benefits expired because the lazy senators keep playing games with their lives. In other words, these unemployed couldn't apply for other tiers of the federal EUI because the stupid U.S. Senate thought fancy spring breaks were more important than tens of thousands of people going without.
And of course this doesn't even begin to cover the so-called "99ers" who have exhausted ALL of their benefits because Congress doesn't think it is important to put in a Tier V:
