Just in Time to Feel More Despair

over my dwindling job chances is this article:

U.S. employers had fewer job openings and hired fewer workers in February than in January, the Labor Department reported Tuesday. Job openings declined to 2.72 million from 2.85 million on a seasonally adjusted basis. With 14.9 million unemployed people in February, there were 5.5 potential applicants for each job opening, up from 5.2 in January. The level of hiring slipped slightly to 3.96 million in February from 4.09 million in January. Total separations fell to 3.96 million from 4.12 million. Separations had run much higher than hires for most of the past two years, but the gap has closed, signifying a possible turning point in the labor market.

I'll believe a "turnaround" when I see it.
