Why should anybody pay one bit of attention to what an economist has to say about holding public education teachers "accountable," when this "expert" by virtue of his occupation has NO clue what really goes on in public education?
People think because they went to school in public schools or they have kids in public schools, they KNOW what really goes on.
They don't.
The "reforms" aren't designed to help kids anyway but to deskill a once-honored profession and to restrict upward mobility by denying students access to higher education and even high school.
This post expresses perfectly how I feel about the situation.
