Not Only Should Teachers Run Schools,

but ALL principals need to be appointed by the teachers at their individual sites, just as it is done in Norway, I believe. These principals would be re-appointed if teachers voted them back in. Right now, principals can do whatever they want, whenever they want, with the realization the front office will back them to the hilt.

Unfortunately, the article in part focuses on non-teachers, the "Teach for America" types, and less on real, fully credentialed public school teachers.
