One of the last surviving cast members of the 1939 classic, Gone With the Wind, Cammie King Conlon, has died at the age of 76. The cause of death was lung cancer.
Five years old at the time, Conlon played Bonnie Blue Butler, who later dies in the film. Her onscreen parents were Vivien Leigh (Scarlett) and Clark Gable (Rhett).
Conlon was also best friends with Gable and Loretta Young's daughter Judy Lewis.
Trivia note: Surviving cast members include Olivia DeHavilland (Melanie Wilkes) 94, Ann Rutherford (Careen O'Hara) 89, and Alicia Rhett (India Wilkes) 94.
