is, school personnel CANNOT put duct tape over a student's mouth. It is considered assault and is a firing offense.
If the incident is true, the secretary, regardless of her conflict-of-interest, should also be fired.
Obviously there is more to the situation politically than meets the eye, but if the duct tape incident is true, then this is really a no-brainer.
Teachers have been fired for far less serious, even petty, offenses.
