News, Etc.

Reading about what the bigshots at the World Bank have to say just sticks in my craw since they and their ilk at the WTO and IMF and the trade agreements have been the ruination of the world economy.

Neoliberalism is a poison that must be eliminated, and that means the abolition of those above organizations.

Since I can hardly stand Obama, especially now, I made sure I missed his 60 Minutes interview.

There is no doubt he is a corporate tool.

Good riddance to that pile of rubbish, but it appears Klein's successor is even more unqualified to run a school system.

Hi Susan,

This pretty much sums up the reason why I never bought what Obama was selling.

http://www.tnr.com/article/politics/79004/you-said-you-wanted-revolution-midterm-elections-obama

I never bought any of the bs about "lets all hold hands, sing kumbaya and hug and get along". I never bought the "post partisan" bs. Politics is by definition partisan. You want post partisan politics? Get out of politics.

I never bought the Obama message. "Lets all get along" is not a mandate to govern. That combined with media worship of Obama completely turned me off.

Obama is the exact opposite of FDR who relished the fight. He welcomed their hatred. He didn't want to get along with the GOP. He wanted to defeat them.

Obama's so called strategy did not win the 2008 election. What won the election was 1) catastrophic Bush presidency 2) media adulation.

Bush presidency is now a distant memory and the media's love affair with Obama is about to end. After that there will be nothing left. GOP will be in a good position to defeat him in 2010.

Best wishes,

Mary Louise
