Baby Marie Osborne, a silent film child star whose own life was perhaps more interesting than her career, died at a mere 99 years of age.

Spanish filmmaker Luis García Berlanga, 89, suffered from Alzheimer's disease.

Film producer Dino De Laurentiis, 91. He produced some of the more notable films of the latter 20th century as well as one of the worst, the 1976 remake of King Kong.

The end of racehorse Zenyatta's career. She has been retired from racing after winning 19 of 20 starts.
