in Congress who seem hellbent on shafting millions and millions of people with cuts to Social Security is because these assholes belong in the same social class as most of the GOP.
They don't fucking care because they don't need programs like SS or Medicare; many of them can pay cash for their medical needs and don't have to worry about retirement.
The fact we have a political campaign system that is so expensive, only the very wealthy can afford to run for office, and then, when they are elected, they pass programs that are detrimental to everybody else.
