The Mistake

this teacher blogger is making, and somebody who actually has a law degree, I believe, is he thinks he has due process rights or ANY rights afforded by other employees in the United States of America.

He should know better, really. "Tenured" teachers have NO rights at ALL, just a "right" to a sham hearing that is little more than character assassination.

The public has been so brainwashed into thinking teachers have ironclad job security thanks to "tenure," but that isn't true and never has been.

School districts want to eliminate the sham hearings simply to save money because they have to pay for the hearings to be conducted, or appeals resulting from "awards" teachers on rare occasion get, or in the few times teachers can afford to appeal dismissals thanks to administrative law being rigged in favor of school districts.

Teachers have fewer rights than burger flippers or even Wal-Mart workers.
