got into legal hot water as a prosecutor judging from how vile she was last night when Casey Anthony was acquitted of the major charges in the Caylee Anthony case.
As I said, when there can be no determination as to the cause of death and there is no forensic evidence tying the defendant to the body, then that is pretty much the end of the ballgame. Everything else is just smoke and mirrors. The prosecution never should have brought charges against her.
The cases of Casey Anthony, Cynthia Sommer, Amanda Knox, and Mechele Hughes Linehan all have a common thread. They were tried or convicted largely on the basis of character assassination (meaning their "loose" lifestyles) rather than on the evidence. Sommer was finally released from prison after evidence surfaced her husband was NOT poisoned by arsenic and most likely died from natural causes. Knox is still in prison and Linehan is free on bail awaiting retrial despite the flimsy-to-nonexistent cases against them.
Nancy Grace was largely--though not solely-- responsible for the media circus and trial by media of Casey Anthony. I doubt Anthony is going to get rich from book deals, movies, etc., but she could get rich going after Grace with a defamation lawsuit.
