on the thinking of education "reformers," comparing them to the eugenics advocates of a century ago.
However, I don't think the "reformers" are "well-intentioned." They are liars because they have an ideology which says public schools must be abolished simply because they are public. Replacing experienced, senior teachers with Teach for America nitwits has little to do with a concern with "quality" and everything to do with creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation.
