in public education.
"Accountability." It's all about the numbers, not about human beings. Public schools cannot be run on business models, and the facts bear me out.
But let's look at "accountability" from another angle. I am referring to the district's complete indifference to malfeasance and incompetence on the part of its administrators. including principals. I have been trashed for years because I have told the truth about WCSD, and a change in superintendents has NOT changed the overall rot in the system.
The public has not been made aware of a certain WCSD principal who was recently demoted to teacher because of his misconduct with a subordinate, who apparently was his girlfriend in an extramarital entanglement. He brought her from the school where he was previously an AP, and she was appointed a counselor there. This was the school where I had worked before I demanded to be moved because this principal had engaged in retaliation against me when I refused to carry out an illegal directive. I was not the last one, either--this man has destroyed many lives with his sociopathic behavior. I had to pressure his boss and WEA to move me to another school--but guess what? I was not allowed to pick my school and was dumped in an even worse situation--THAT principal was a total incompetent who violated federal law and the worthless "negotiated agreement" of the district's and WEA (at the apparent behest of the now-recently-"retired"-human resources chief officer who targeted me as some kind of cost-saving measure). I was fired so she and the HR crook (and that is what the man is as well as his labor relations manager who took this bribe, er, promotion to WCSD from WEA in order to help him and this principal and at my expense when I appealed--unsuccessfully, of course--the illegal termination) could cover their rear ends and keep their jobs. The HR guy of course "retired" recently with a huge pension. The principal was rewarded for her misconduct with a reassignment as a principal in another school and at the same obscene pay. She never had to pay for her incompetence--I was the one forced to lose everything and am currently living in poverty and cannot get back on my feet financially and may never again.
As I have written previously, I don't think a principal has ever been fired in the entire history of the district, yet here are two blatant examples of administrator misconduct the district sweeps under the rug. There are many, many more examples. Morrison has done nothing to better working conditions for teachers. WEA is in bed with WCSD and should be decertified for not helping the individual teachers who pay their salaries when they refuse to help them when they are targeted and/or harassed out of their jobs. "Accountability" begins at the top. Teachers merely follow orders, for if they don't their lives are easily ruined.

How do I know about this principal's current situation? I regularly take a look at the WCSD website, which has all the information anybody needs to know without contacting personnel on the latest gossip. This principal was no longer listed in the directory or for his (former) middle school. I then got curious. I wondered if he had a health issue or if he was actually fired, so I did a websearch.
I came across this little nifty site:
