The FUBAR Follies

Gender or sex has to do with biology, with reproduction, and therefore "transgendered" really doesn't exist. What people with gender identity disorders want to do is to playact a stereotype of the opposite sex, even going so far as to submit to surgical mutilation and hormones, but what makes a male and a female isn't stereotypical behavior anyway but a matter of having the capacity to reproduce (there are rare cases of people with chromosome problems, but that doesn't change the reality of the vast majority of people on the planet). Being a man or a woman isn't a "state of mind." You are what you are born with. I have always been opposed to surgery creating fake males and fake females, regarding such surgery as medically unethical and ultimately antifeminist. In a world with gender equality, "transgendered" people would not exist; there would be no reason to rebel against a sex role because sex role stereotyping would not exist.

This is the reason I find the story of the "pregnant man" so absolutely stupid. This woman is truly fucked up in the head and is actually lesbian by being "married" to a woman--a real one, by the way, so as to not be even more confused. Beatie has decided she wants to have a hysterectomy, but even so, she will not be any more a man than my sister and niece who both had hysterectomies.

The world has truly gone batshit.
