I mean the story seems to be changing by the hour. No, McQueary didn't stop the alleged assault of Victim 2 by Jerry Sandusky, yes, he did stop it, no, he didn't call authorities, yes, he did call authorities.
The longer the media goes on with this whole Penn State mess, the more it is looking like this is another Duke lacrosse case.
Although there are other alleged victims in the grand jury case and more coming out of the woodwork to get "justice" or to get a piece of the Penn State insurance carrier pie, I am getting closer and closer to calling bullshit on the entire thing.
As for Sandusky, watching the Costas interview the other night, I was struck at how similar in demeanor the former coach was to Michael Jackson in the latter's interview for that despicable Martin Bashir's documentary on him. Bashir kept insinuating Jackson was some kind of child molester or put himself into harm's way with lawsuits and such, but Jackson clearly didn't ever harm kids in any fashion. In the documentary, he said that during the sleepovers at Neverland, he slept on the floor while little kids shared his bed. Jackson acted like a big kid because he never had a childhood and felt very comfortable around young people.
Now with Sandusky, we don't know his background including his childhood or whether he had ever been the victim of abuse. What was obvious in the interview with Costas was he had a childlike demeanor himself and probably saw nothing wrong with showering with young kids in a locker room despite being told not to do it. Of course he is going to get some kind of jail or prison sentence for at the very least inappropriate behavior with children. What Sandusky really needs now is a top-flight lawyer to represent him.
