Sandusky's lawyer had interviewed with Anderson Cooper, and his remarks didn't help his client at all; he should have shut his mouth. However, the Costas interview was really interesting.
A little clip of the interview:

Ninety percent of the public outrage has been over Victim 2 and the alleged rape supposedly witnessed by Mike McQueary. Sandusky's lawyer said they know who the victim is, and this victim says nothing of the sort happened in the shower, just horseplay. Remember, several people got fired over the aftermath, including former coach Joe Paterno, and they all believed there was horseplay in the shower and not rape. It would be one hell of a note if they were fired basically over nothing worth being fired over.
So far Victim 8 has not been identified, but there is a problem here, as there is no credible eyewitness proof any oral sex encounter happened. The alleged eyewitness suffers from dementia and is incompetent to testify; all other "witnesses" offer only hearsay. That just doesn't prove anything in court.
Of course there are six others who have gone on the record has having alleged improprieties by Sandusky, but the two mentioned above are the sources of 99 percent of the public outrage.
I guess we will have to wait and see how this all turns out.
McQueary, meanwhile, says he didn't just cut and run.
Here is a piece about the "brutal truth about Penn State," assuming any of the allegations in the grand jury summary is true.
As I said, I will wait and see how this turns out. I am less inclined to want to hang Sandusky right now, but it is subject to change without notice.

I just can't imagine "rhythmic slapping sounds" would amount to "horsing around" in the shower.
Would you, if you were Victim 2, want to come forward after watching thousands of "fans" riot and destroy property over their beloved "coach" being fired? We'll never know, thanks to the morons at State College who acted like Paterno was the victim, when it was (allegedly) little boys who were.
I think the media needs to start backing off of this story lest it winds up being another Duke lacrosse team mess. Seriously. There are already problems with the Victim 2 story.
Naturally more people are coming out of the woodwork claiming they were assaulted by Sandusky, but, having been a victim of being wrongly accused in a civil case of "failure to report" something that never happened in the first place, I suspect unscrupulous lawyers are trying to ride the gravy train in filing civil cases.
I'm not saying anyone is a lair, but if a grown man truly witnessed the rape of a child and didn't physically stop it, apprehend Sandusky, and call the police then something is seriously wrong... Are we supposed to believe he saw something like this and didn't act? Didn't even call police, but instead his dad and then the NEXT day Joe Pa. I think it's absurd that McQueary has a job while the 84 year old who gave over half his life to that school was fired via telephone. Something is super shady about this issue, and if Sandusky is deemed "not guilty" then Pennstate has a shit ton of explaining to do.
Agree. The Sandusky interview with Costas really changed my entire perspective on this case. I am now beginning to think the university overreacted and fired at least two people over what amounts to nothing. Remember, the officials had already been notified of Sandusky's alleged behavior of showering with kids years before the 2002 incident, and nothing came of it.
Why wouldn't anybody report suspected abuse or witnessed abuse to CPS or the police if it indeed happened? It's because it didn't happen.
Sandusky is guilty of inappropriate behavior with kids and may do some jail time, but I don't think he is guilty of all of what has been alleged. Now we have ambulance-chasing lawyers bringing out kids who say they were assaulted some thirty years ago. Watch greedy people claim they were "assaulted" so they can cash in on the university's insurance carrier payouts. It's disgusting.
