Assuming an employer hasn't laid off or fired an older employee so that he or she is "retired" years before he or she is eligible for a full pension benefit and Social Security and can never get another regular job again, many older workers are finding themselves forced to work until they drop dead.
It's a win-win for the financial elites and the Washington politicians they have bought off. Those who are forced out of the labor force will simply get sick and die and never receive pensions, Social Security, and Medicare, while those who remain will drop dead from working before they ever get those benefits anyway or even be able to enjoy their "golden years."
It's called "culling the herd."
