On his way to the GOP nomination, Mitt won the Michigan primary last night with enough breathing room--41 to 37 percent over Rick Santorum--to revive his campaign in time for the Super Tuesday contests.

Earlier last night he won the Arizona primary.

Whether or not he returns to Congress, Bob Kerrey, one of my least favorite "Democrats" because he is a neoliberal like Obama who waged war on Social Security during his previous stint in the Senate, is considering making another run for the open Nebraska seat being vacated by Ben Nelson.

Once again the confusion between him and John Kerry will resume if Kerrey runs.

So why aren't private schools held to the same standards of accountability as public schools? Because they are "better," that's why. At least that is what many parents and politicians believe. Since they are "better" than public schools because they are private and parents pay extra, there is no reason to force those schools to push standardized tests. Their pre-selected students would score in the 85th or 90th percentile anyway.

Given the high cost of living in the Big Apple, a 60k-a-year job as a housekeeper isn't outrageous, but to the wingers, anything above the prevailing Chinese wage is an "outrage." Never mind banksters and the hereditary rich don't do anything productive while the economy would collapse without those who do the dirty, back-breaking work of the laborers.

The lawsuit filed against Washoe County School District over mandatory school uniforms has been appealed to the ninth circuit. The appeal was filed yesterday.

The lower court pretty much threw the case out.

It appears there is little political support for the scheme to push through private school vouchers for special education students in Wisconsin, especially given the fact parents can't sue under IDEA if IEPs aren't followed.
