More testimony was heard in the Dana Chandler murder trial.
It all comes down to her alibi, or rather alibis, as she has told different stories over the years.
Earlier on Wednesday, Don Kennedy, a retired Topeka police detective, testified that four neighbors of Chandler said Chandler , who lived in Denver in 2002, wasn’t at her apartment on the weekend of the slayings of her ex-husband and his fiancee.
Chandler has contended she was traveling in the Rocky Mountains during that weekend, and prosecutors contend she drove from Denver to Topeka, where she shot the victims to death, then returned home after driving through Nebraska.
Some members of Sisco's family testified to Chandler's utterly bizarre behavior and of Mike's fear of his ex-wife:
When the Boots family was in Topeka, there would be "rapid phone calls" in which Chandler used different phones to call Mike Sisco until someone picked up the phone, Cathy Boots said.
In fall 1996 during the Sisco couple's bitter divorce, Cathy Boots traveled to Lawrence for a hearing to support her brother's efforts to get custody of the children.
She didn't want to stay at her brother's house because of Chandler, but he told her he would sleep on the couch so Chandler couldn't do anything to her, she testified.
About 2 or 3 a.m., Chandler was bouncing on a trampoline in the Sisco back yard and laughing, Cathy Boots said.
So far 68 witnesses have testified for the prosecution. I suspect Mike Sisco's children will be on the stand testifying against their mother before the state rests its case.
