For Those Who Need an Explanation,

here is a long post trying to explain teacher evaluations and appeals in NYC schools.

Other states have similar procedures for teachers although few as detailed as NY's, but in reality administrative law isn't really worth the paper it is written on.

School districts can still violate the law, and hearing officers can be easily compromised.

Oh, by the way, the man who instigated my illegal dismissal didn't retire like I thought he did. Apparently this jerk was most likely demoted at the end of the last fiscal year. He is not chief human resources officer anymore; instead, he was put in a position in another part of town. His new job title is "Supervisor, Housekeeping Division, Facilities Management Department." I started laughing about it. It's kind of like being relegated to KP duty in the military. I wonder what ELSE this crook did to make Morrison finally take away his cushy $124,000-a-year job. It's hollow justice, though. Like that sociopathic principal I had before the last one, he is still pulling down a paycheck rather than being fired like he should have been.
