I Think Today is Supposed to Be Principal Appreciation Day

To mark this occasion, I present this story:

Two people have been shot and killed in a murder-suicide at Episcopal High School, including Head of School Dale Regan.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville confirmed Regan's death.

The shooter was identified as former Episcopal Spanish teacher Shane Schumerth, 29, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

I shouldn't make light of a truly horrible tragedy for all involved or who knew the people. However, I am very surprised this doesn't happen more often given the power imbalance between administrators and staff.

The tragedy happened yesterday afternoon.

This is a private school.
