A federal judge declared Gov. Rick Scott's order requiring drug testing for some 85,000 state workers unconstitutional Thursday, saying the governor showed no evidence of a drug problem at the agencies to warrant suspicionless testing._____
The ruling marks the second blow to Scott's proposals regarding drug testing. The governor also suspended a state law he supported that required drug testing for welfare recipients last year after a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union. A federal judge in Orlando has temporarily blocked that law.
Seattle Public Schools is looking for a new superintendent. While one may seen to be the obvious choice, we know from the CMS sup sweepstakes that the best person for the job is not necessarily picked.

The Edwards sham trial goes on, with his former aide, Andrew Young, getting a grilling from Edwards' attorneys:

Abbe Lowell, Mr. Edwards’ defense lawyer, displayed a series of personal checks to the court that had been written by Rachel Mellon, a banking heiress and a major contributor to Mr. Edwards’s campaigns for president.
Mr. Lowell then matched each check with call logs from Mr. Young’s mobile phone, showing that within a day or two of a phone call from Mr. Young to Ms Mellon, a new check would arrive.
The checks are at the crux of Mr. Edwards’s trial.
Some good news about missing children: More than 99 percent of missing children are eventually found alive, a big jump from twenty years ago thanks to more awareness and technological advances.
