Actually I Disagree

with the idea ed schools need to be reformed to any great degree. To give any credence to outfits interested in getting rid of teaching profession is unwise. If people are really interested in "reforming" education, take a look at the patchwork of licensure laws which make it almost impossible for fully certified, experienced teachers from one state trying to get certified in another state.

THAT is a serious problem, let me tell you. It can cost a thousand dollars or MORE to certified in a single state. Teachers are usually among the professionals least able to afford the tests.

The NCTQ has NO credibility at all and never did. It's all about lowering teacher and teaching standards.
