I was going to put on the closed captioning for last night's episode, but I forgot to do it. The episode was about the infamous Larry McNabney case out of Sacramento. I knew McNabney, but only as a library patron when I worked at the Washoe County Law Library during the 1990s (I was there until 2002) and when he still had offices in Nevada. He always came into the library on the weekends when the library was located on the second floor of the courthouse. McNabney always wore a cowboy hat and boots when he came in, and during that time he didn't have a moustache, and frankly he looked better without one. He always came up front where I was and would get a cup of coffee and check out library books. Despite the fact his ads were all over northern Nevada (and southern Nevada, too, when he opened up another office), I always had to ask him his name when he would check out a book or renew one! I could remember the name of every other lawyer there, but not him for some reason. He was always nice, very pleasant. One time I remember he came in with his fifth wife, who was allegedly called "Elisa" but everyone now knows was actually Laren Renee Sims, etc., etc., etc., as Morrison called her. They checked out several books. This was probably around 1995 or 1996, certainly around the time he married her. It was just a regular day, nothing out of the ordinary. Who would have thought that five or six years later, she along with Sarah Dutra would kill him with horse tranquilizer? It's unthinkable.
Anyway, here are clips from the episode:

It's a heck of a story. I followed it closely when it happened.
Dutra should have gotten life in prison. She was paroled last August.
