Tell me about long-term unemployment. I have been underemployed and unemployed for four freaking years and with no end in sight.

Today I had to sell three of my prized Kentucky Derby glasses in order to pay my auto insurance. At some point I will be able to replace them, but the idea that I am forced to sell possessions in order to survive is outrageous.

Meanwhile the assholes who wronged me at WCSD kept their jobs, whether or not they were reassigned or demoted.

Speaking of teachers, Jill Kinmont Boothe, who died earlier this year, was remembered in this post chock full of photographs from her skiing career and following her accident in early 1955.
