Despite the fact it is a huge waste of money but enriches drug testing companies, states, or rather politicians who thrive on demonizing the poor in order to win elections, are continuing to demand "welfare" applicants undergo drug testing to get benefits. This despite the dubious constitutionality of illegal search and seizure by government.

What is laughable is the poor are LESS inclined to abuse drugs than the general population because they don't have the money to spend on such luxuries. When they are found to have drugs in their systems, it's typically marijuana.

NYC's DOE is finding a way to get rid of expensive teachers--called "mediocre" by asshole principals and other administrators--is to take those who are overaged and try to buy them out.
