This is NOT good news for Obama going into the general election. Pocketbook issues are always forefront in people's minds, and the fact he has not done much of anything about the economy being the good neoliberal he is means he can't count on winning in November.
OBAMA will be the issue, not Romney's dog, not his wife, not his religion, not even Bain. OBAMA. This "Democrat" had the opportunity to be a truly great president, but given his backing by similar interests backing the likes of the disgraceful Cory Booker, he wasn't going to make waves.
The only thing preventing a Romney election is whether the GOP wants to throw this election like they did in 2008 when the economy started tanking. The people calling the shots for both political parties don't care who wins the White House because THEY will win regardless.
