They shouldn't even be allowed to exist anyway. It was a harebrained idea concocted by a fool named Al Shanker of the AFT who naively thought teachers and parents should "run" schools, when in fact that was and is impossible.

There is a 60-percent chance the WCSD Board of Trustees will pick a current Nevada administrator as superintendent.
I am banking on Paul LaMarca to get the job.
I have to laugh that the incompetent Pedro Martinez has been named as a finalist.
I am sure the Board is trying to not get burned a second time by going more local.
The finalists:
Paul LaMarca, currently serving as chief school accountability officer for the Washoe County School District.
Pedro Martinez, currently serving as deputy superintendent of schools for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas.
Judy Peppler, currently serving as chief transformation officer/chief of staff for the Wake County Public School System in Raleigh, N.C.
Harrison Peters, currently serving as chief of schools for Chicago Public Schools in Chicago, IL.
Jane Woodburn, currently serving as deputy superintendent of the Washoe County School District.
Woodburn on paper is probably the most qualified and has actually been a teacher, but qualifications have little to do with getting hired for a big job like this one.
A piece mentioning Peters: link
Judy Peppler is a Broadie. She has NO background whatsoever as an educator prior to her stint at Wake County.
