We get these articles every now and then where company bigwigs, no longer wanting to do on-the-job training themselves, expected employees to have the same "skills" they demand. When they can't find anybody and are too lazy to train people themselves, they whine to the media in hopes they can get foreigners to come in and work for a fraction of their regular workers.
No, there is no "skill" shortage. There IS a shortage of companies that are ethical enough and willing enough to train their own people.
