Obituary

Actor and game show host Richard Dawson, 79, has died from complications of cancer.

Dawson was best remembered for his role in the awful sixties sitcom Hogan's Heroes and for his long stint as host of the game show Family Feud. It's a miracle he didn't get or give mono from the latter from all of the kissing he did of female contestants.

He was once married to blonde bombshell actress Diana Dors.

An interesting note:

Dawson was born Colin Lionel Emm in Gosport, Hampshire England on Nov. 30, 1932. He was married to Gretchen Johnson. They met while Johnson was a contestant on the “Family Feud.” Together they had a daughter named Shannon Nicole Dawson. When he hosted the second run of “Family Feud” Dawson made a promise to Johnson not kiss anyone — as Dawson was known for kissing all the female contestants when the show premiered in the 1970s
