So says Diane Ravitch in the comments following this post about resistance to an online charter school system called the North Carolina Virtual Academy.
The curriculum will be supplied by an outfit called K12, founded or co-founded by junk bond crook Michael Milken.
The bastard should have gone to prison forever for what he did. He's never changed at all. Now he's using public money to put forward a fraud called "online education."
Online education for anything other than as a supplement is deadly for young students. They NEED a whole lot more than just academics to be stable, productive individuals.
Naturally this is all about getting rid of more teachers and saving money on buildings.
