I missed the first two interviews the WCSD Board of Trustees conducted with two of the finalists for the sup job Heath Morrison has vacated to better himself working as chief of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Those interviews with Harrison Peters of Chicago and WCSD flunkie Paul LaMarca were conducted early yesterday morning.
I thought the live stream would carry the finalists' meetings with the public over at the Harrah Automobile Museum, but I was wrong. Instead, they were conducted in the morning from 7:00-9:30.
There so far is nothing in the archives showing these interviews.
The live stream for this morning's inquisitions is here.
The interviews will be with Judy Peppler of Wake County, NC, and WCSD Deputy Superintendent (and favorite for the job) Jane Woodburn.
Tomorrow's interview will be with "rising star" Pedro Martinez.
Enough said.
Update at 8:35 a.m.: Woodburn is up. She came from Hong Kong and lived in poverty. Her dad died when she was nine years old. She wanted to go to college but couldn't afford it but then got into a "free" program and got in with a "C" average.
I expect either she or LaMarca will get the job. If she gets it, she is bound to be more ruthless than even Heath.
Here are some sales pitches from each of the finalists.
