I suspect fear is what drives people's contempt for the poor. They know they could wind up the same way if they suffer a job loss or a health crisis.
It has nothing to do with "morality."

Ya think? I believe I may have already linked this piece from NEA Today about the rampant bullying of teachers in the workplace by administrators, colleagues, parents, and even students. The problem is the union doesn't do squat for teachers.
