The other day there was an article about there being a trucker "shortage" because nobody will waste thousands of dollars training for a shitty high-thirties job and never be home and have a family life. Now employers in other fields are bitching about some three million jobs not being filled while at the same time over 12 million people are unemployed, let alone millions more like yours truly who are UNDERemployed.
It's so obvious this is a ploy to get loopholes in federal laws to import more cheap H1Bs in those positions. There is NO "skills shortage" at all, just not enough people to put up with shitty pay and rotten working conditions to make it worthwhile.
You pay crap, you get crap. It's that simple.
This race to the bottom has got to stop.
