Etc.

The school year starts in Nevada tomorrow, but at WCSD there are all kinds of challenges in store, including a superintendent who is completely unqualified to lead a school district, a graduation rate that is said to be flat for the past year, and a "teacher incentive fund" grant that will fail miserably but gives a make-work job to somebody who should have had her ass fired four years ago.

The new system requires educators to set professional growth goals and meet them.

“There’s an element worked into the new system that principals and teachers work in collaboration toward professional growth as opposed to traditional evaluation,” Kendrick said. “It’s mandatory now for principals and teachers to set up the growth plans.”

She said teachers and principals would be encouraged to meet quarterly and review evidence that goals of the plan have been reached and progress will continue.

The evaluation system will continue to require formal observation in the classroom for teachers and on site for principals, who are evaluated by their area superintendents.

This is someone who didn't follow the goddamned law at all when she was pressured to kick me to the curb in 2008. She wouldn't know "merit" if it bit her in the ass. I don't forget and I will NEVER forgive.

As I mentioned before, former sup Heath Morrison had one sick sense of humor when it came to "punishing" failed administrators.
_____

Since there isn't really a dime's worth of difference between the two parties on the issues that matter (not talking about dumb "issues" like gay marriage or abortion), I don't know why the GOP and Democrats don't hold a joint convention.
_____

Maybe the GOP won't have to resort to ballot fraud as California is about to slide into the ocean.
