but any kind of law that would mandate sick leave for employees is better than none.
So many employers have this attitude that people "abuse" the meager sick days they do get, if they get it, that people will come to work when they should be home.
Of course for serious illness there's FMLA, but we know employers flout that law all the time, especially school districts.
What's good enough for some 145 countries around the world should be good enough for the United States.
