Students, parents and educators peppered U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan with questions in Reno on Wednesday that ranged from what his agency is doing to pass the Dream Act to how he will make college more affordable for struggling families.
“I am very frustrated that we have not passed the Dream Act,” Duncan told the audience of more than 400 people gathered at the University of Nevada, Reno for a town hall meeting on college access and affordability for Hispanics.
“We desperately need to pass the Dream Act,” he said of the hotly debated law proposed in Congress.
You just KNOW more important questions were asked and answered or weasel-worded, but the paper simply refused to print them.
