I think it is going to be inevitable that the Democratic Party will be split because it no longer represents "the people." It'll probably take the place of the old Republican Party, while the Republican Party itself gradually fades into obscurity.
Public education is so bedrock, so fundamental, to a society that dismantling it amounts to little more than treason.
